Common Council President Donald Moore confirmed at the Council's Informal Meeting, Mon., Feb. 11, lead architect Jane Smith's design budget has now increased by more than $200,000. “This project has reached a budget in excess of what we thought we could expect,” Moore said. Fifth Ward Supervisor, and Galvan Foundation associate, Rick Scalera expressed disbelief that more could not be done to request Smith's firm reconsider the project’s scale.
