The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Special Weather Statement effective Tuesday morning. Areas of black ice are likely. Temperatures across much of the region remain near or below the freezing mark. In combination with abundant low level moisture, this has allowed areas of black ice to form, particularly on untreated surfaces, as well as bridges, overpasses, ramps and walkways. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use extra caution this morning.
