Local weather forecast
Today's forecast is specific to Catskill, in Greene County:

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Special Weather Statement effective Tuesday morning. Areas of black ice are likely. Temperatures across much of the region remain near or below the freezing mark. In combination with abundant low level moisture, this has allowed areas of black ice to form, particularly on untreated surfaces, as well as bridges, overpasses, ramps and walkways. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use extra caution this morning.

Today: Snow likely, mainly before 2 p.m. Cloudy. High near 31. Tuesday night, mostly clear. Low around 15.

Forecast for the next three days:

Wednesday: A slight chance of snow showers after 3 p.m. Partly sunny. High near 28. Wednesday night, a chance of snow showers before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear. Low around 12.
Thursday: A slight chance of snow showers. Mostly sunny. High near 22. Thursday night, partly cloudy. Low around 9.
Friday: Partly sunny. High near 28. Friday night, mostly cloudy. Low around 14.

Sunrise today: 7:14 a.m.
Sunset today: 4:23 p.m.

Length of the day: 9:09 hrs.
