that Gov. Andrew Cuomo is ending his daily coronavirus media briefings on June 19. New York's infection rate has kept at around one percent of population tested in recent days, with the lowest totals of hospitalizations since March. National cable television news outlets were airing Cuomo's daily briefings until recent weeks. Last week, even Albany television stations began dropping the live coverage of the briefings, and WGXC also stopped airing them. Cuomo has held briefings for the last 109 days. He said he is worried about other outbreaks in New York coming from other states. "The states without the smart reopening plans are going up," Cuomo said. "If those states are going up, they could spread the virus to New York." Read more about this story at New York State of Politics.
