A Hazardous Weather Outlook continues in effect through tonight for northwestern Connecticut, western Massachusetts, east central New York and southern Vermont. A slowly moving storm, aided by a surge of moisture along the eastern seaboard, will bring a prolonged period of moderate to heavy rainfall to the region, Thursday through Friday night. The exact amounts of rainfall and location of the heaviest rainfall continues to remain uncertain. However, the best potential for heavy rainfall appears to be just south and east of the Capital Region.
