Dec 26, 2017 1:12 pm
The City of Hudson Police Department announced Dec. 21 that they have set up a “Transaction Safe Place” in the parking lot of the new Hudson Police department building at 701 Union Street. Anyone participating in an internet purchase or sale can use the location to complete the exchange. There is 24-hour video surveillance and signs identifying the "Transaction Safe Place" located in the parking lot on Police Department property. Fifth ward Alderperson-elect Dominic Merante provided the signs, and said, “With internet transactions being so common these days, [the] newly launched Transaction Safe Place program is even more essential for the continued safety of our residents."
