Delta suspends service to Stewart until September

MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting Delta Air Lines has announced that it will temporarily suspend service from New York Stewart International Airport effective Wed. May 13, because of COVID-19. American Airlines and Jet Blue previously announced plans to suspend operations at Stewart. The decision was made to protect customers and employees while customer volume is significantly reduced. Stewart passengers who must travel may use Delta flights at John F. Kennedy International Airport. Delta is also suspending its flights from Westchester County Airport at White Plains. Delta’s service at both Stewart and Westchester will remain closed at least until September as the airline “continues to evaluate overall network needs.” Delta announced an 85 percent reduction in its second quarter schedule, with cuts in both domestic and international flights.
