Daily Freeman hires new publisher

The Daily Freeman reports that they have hired a new publisher, Kevin Corrado. He has been publisher before: for the New Haven Register, for New England Newspaper Inc., which included The Berkshire Eagle, in Berkshire County, Mass.; The Bennington Banner, in Bennington, Vt.; The Brattleboro Reformer, in Brattleboro, Vt.; and The Manchester Journal, in Manchester, Vt. He was also publisher for the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter and Bay Publications, owned by Gannett Co. Inc. Now Corrado will helm the Freeman and the other local properties of Digital First Media, which include: Oneida Daily Dispatch; The Saratogian, of Saratoga Springs; The Record, of Troy; The Lowell Sun; and the Sentinel & Enterprise, of Fitchburg. “My number one goal is to protect the First Amendment, and operate this business where we are producing content that our readers want," he said.
