Pedestrian struck, killed by Amtrak train

Update: The Daily Freeman is reporting the man struck and killed March 26, was Austerlitz resident David C. Soka.
Amanda Purcell is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media an unidentified person was killed March 26, after being struck by an Amtrak train near Station Road in Stockport. “There were no injuries to the 125 passengers or crew members on board the train,” according to a statement from Amtrak. “Amtrak police are cooperating with New York State Police to investigate the incident.” Stockport firefighters closed Station Road to traffic near Southers Road in Columbiaville.
