GCSD's Gabriel announces retirement

John Mason reports in the Register Star the Germantown Central School District Board of Education Wed., Dec. 20, accepted the resignation of Superintendent Patrick Gabriel, effective Jan. 9, 2013. Gabriel will likely stay on as interim superintendent, through June 2013. Gabriel, who turns 65 in August, is eligible to retire in January. Gabriel has held the district's top spot for six years.
