The New York State Education Department announced
Mon., Jan. 26, that as a result of the winter storm bearing down on much of the state, school districts will be allowed some flexibility around the administration of the January Regents exams and Regents Competency Tests. The department advised that exams rescheduled due to the inclement weather must be completed no later than the end of the school day, Fri., Jan. 30. In districts located in Columbia and Greene counties, Regents exams were originally scheduled to take place Mon., Jan. 26 through Fri., Jan. 30. When the storm has passed, districts impacted by weather-related closures must send to the Department a description of the dates schools were closed due to weather, the exams affected and when the rescheduled tests will be administered.
