Catskill, Hudson post snowstorm parking rules
Dec 01, 2019 8:00 pm
Due to the ongoing snowstorm, the Catskill Police Department is enforcing a parking plan to facilitate snow removal, beginning at 8 a.m., Sun., Dec. 1. Those regulations will remain in effect until all snow is removed from village streets. Beginning Sunday, all vehicles must be parked on the even side of the street until 8 p.m. At 8 p.m., vehicles must be moved to the odd side of the streets until 8 a.m., Monday. Alternate side parking will continue every 12 hours until the snow emergency is canceled. Parking on Main Street, from Greene Street to Summit Avenue, is forbidden from 11 p.m., Sun. Dec. 1, until 8 a.m., Mon., Dec. 2. Residents who regularly park on Main Street are advised to use the municipal parking lots. Any vehicle parked in a place that hinders the removal of snow will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. Those with questions are encouraged to call the village police at 518-943-2244.
City of Hudson officials are telling drivers that unless notified to the contrary, they are to follow the regular, opposite side of the street parking rules. That means that overnight Sun., Dec. 1, vehicles must be parked on the even-numbered side of the street. According to the online notice, residents are advised that in the event a snow emergency is declared, it will be announced at CityofHudson [dot] org and via local media channels.
