"It was very inspiring and humbling," Faso said of the ceremony. "I’m tremendously honored to serve. This is a very important moment for our country and I’m privileged to part apart of it." Faso's wife, son and daughter, daughter in-law and extended family attended the ceremony. As one of his first acts as a member of Congress, Faso said he voted for incumbent Paul Ryan in his successful bid for re-election as Speaker of the House. He represented the 107th District in the state Assembly from 1987 to 2002, and served as Assembly minority leader from 1998 to 2002. His subsequent bids for statewide office failed.
