Katie Kocijanski reports in the Chatham Courier the Chatham Village Board has adopted its new budget. The $1.14 million spending plan includes a 3.6 percent tax decrease for village taxpayers. Trustee Jay Rippel Jr. was the only board member to oppose the budget. He criticized the use of what he called inaccurate numbers.
