Dangerously low wind chill values are possible, with the lowest values around sunrise Friday. West winds of 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph and temperatures of zero to 10 in most areas are possible.

He is the son of the late "The New Yorker" editor William Shawn and the brother of the actor and playwright Wallace Shawn. Shawn received a bachelor's degree from Harvard University, and a masters from Columbia University. He also studied with French composer and conductor Nadia Boulanger.
