Rip Van Winkle Bridge traffic increases

The Mid-Hudson News Network reports in The Daily Freeman that the Rip Van Winkle Bridge, which crosses the Hudson River between Catskill and Greenport, had the largest traffic increase of the river's bridges, up 2.17 percent this September from 2016. Revenue on the Rip Van Winkle also rose 2.95 percent, though it lagged behind the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, which rose 3.33 percent. Traffic volume increased on all five Hudson River bridges operated by the New York State Bridge Authority in September 2017 over September 2016, according to the authority.
