State lifts open burn ban

May 14, 2013 6:15 am
Joe Gentile reports in the Register Star the state's open burning ban ends today. The state Department of Environmental Conservation implemented the ban on March 16. DEC permits are required to burn brush inside the Adirondack and Catskill State Parks system. Affected Greene County locations include Hunter, Jewett, Lexington and Windham.
