Weinert drops out of First Ward election

Jun 11, 2019 12:35 am
Adam Weinert, one of four candidates in the Hudson First Ward Democratic Primary, dropped out of the election June 10 and endorsed Jane Trombley and Rebecca Wolff in the June 25 election. The announcement came a day after Weinert performed with the Albany Symphony Orchestra at Basilica Hudson, and he said he needed to devote more time to dance. On the June 10 "WGXC Afternoon Show" Weinert said this: PLAY BRIEF INTERVIEW EXCERPT. Weinert's name will still appear on the ballot. There are two open First Ward seats on the Common Council, and Ginna Moore is also running. All three candidates have done interviews with WGXC that can be heard in the WGXC Audio Archives, and will also appear at a candidate event a week before the election, June 18 at the Chamber of Commerce on Front St. in Hudson.
