Some live music returning to area stages
Jun 28, 2021 11:53 am
Live music is beginning to return to local stages. Local music has been virtually non-existent since March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a few outdoor shows. Venues such as The Avalon Lounge in Catskill and the Colony Cafe in Woodstock have been holding occasional outdoor shows, but move things indoors in July. The Disappointer Sister perform at The Avalon Lounge July 9, and Colony Cafe reopens their stage July 24 with Lucy Dacus performing. Tubby's in Kingston is waiting until September to fully reopen with a reunion of 1980s experimental rock act Live Skull performing with The Thalia Zedek Band opening Sept. 17. Neither Club Helsinki nor Half Moon in Hudson have announced when they will resume hosting live music.
