Greenville sidewalks get started soon

Nov 26, 2018 12:09 am
Liz Schaeffer reports for the Greenville Pioneer the Greenville Town Board is expected to bid out its sidewalk project in December. The new sidewalk will extend from the George V. Vanderbilt Town Park down Garland Lane, and be paid for, partially, by a $760,000 grant from the New York State Department of Transportation. The town must pay 20 percent of the costs, or between $190,000 and $200,000. The five-feet wide sidewalks will be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Albany-based firm, Creighton Manning, has design plans at the town hall. Construction on the sidewalks is expected to begin next summer. Read the full story in the Greenville Pioneer.
