Absentee ballots will decide Windham super race

Nov 06, 2013 7:44 am
Michael Ryan is reporting in The Daily Mail absentee ballots will determine the outcome of races in Windham and Lexington. Neither incumbent Windham town supervisor, Stephen Walker, or his challenger Windham police chief Stacy Post, will know the outcome of that race for at least a week. As of 3 a.m., Wed., Nov. 6, Post held the lead over Walker, 292 to 266, with as many as 47 absentee ballots and 12 affidavit ballots yet to be tabulated, according to election officials. In Lexington, 49 absentee ballots will determine the winner of one of two vacant town council seats. Michael Barcone captured one of the two spots with 191 votes. Vying for the second seat, the three-way race between Bradley Jenkins, incumbent write-in candidate John Berger and Sharon D’Addario is too close to call. Absentee ballots may also determine the race for Lexington town clerk/tax collector between Alice Cross and Emily Plishner. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
