Frost advisory for Mid-Hudson Valley; freeze warning for Catskills overnight
Oct 10, 2016 1:15 pm
The Daily Freeman is reporting the National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for most of the Mid-Hudson Valley from midnight through 9 a.m. Tue., Oct. 11. A frost advisory means a widespread frost is expected. A freeze warning is forecast for much of the Catskills overnight into Tuesday morning, from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m., meaning subfreezing temperatures are highly likely. Subfreezing conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and bring the growing season to an end. Temperatures in the mountains are expected to be in upper 20s and low 30s overnight. In lower-elevation areas, the low is expected to be between 33 and 36 degrees.
