Hochul hints masks may come off soon on mass transit

Nick Reisman reports at New York State of Politics that while COVID-19 deaths and cases continue locally and worldwide, Gov. Kathy Hochul is talking about ending mask mandates on mass transit in the state. "It's absolutely in conversation right now and we'll be making some announcements on that very shortly," she said on Sept. 6. As of now, masks are still required on Amtrak trains and New York City subway cars. Masks are also still required in health care facilities, nursing homes, jails, prisons, and domestic violence shelters. Read more about this story at New York State of Politics.
