Celia Seupel is reporting for the Daily Freeman the full-length feature film, "A Deadly Legend," is currently being shot at The Lumberyard in Catskill. The independent horror film stars Ulster County resident Judd Hirsch, Lori Petty and Corbin Bernsen. Legend's 25-person cast and crew are filming select scenes on location on the Lumberyard's sound stage, as well as the adjacent Creekside Studio Stage, according to a prepared statement from the studio. Filming began on May 13. “We’re thrilled,” said Adrienne Willis, executive and artistic director of Lumberyard, of landing the Lumberyard’s first feature film. Willis intends to help fund the Lumberyard’s operations with income from film production. The Lumberyard is the only New York state-qualified, purpose-built sound stage in Greene County, according to Willis. Read the full story in the Daily Freeman.
