Greene Council gives education grants

The Greene County Council on the Arts announced the 2015-2016 Arts Education grant recipients, with winners in Catskill, Germantown, Hudson, and Valatie. The winners included: Operation Unite sponsored The Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company and their program “ChoreoPhysics: Demonstrating Concepts Through Dance” at Taconic Hills High School; Jazz in GTown for improvisational workshops for the band at the Germantown Central School District; the Valatie Free Library sponsored a Pit and Raku Fired Ceramics workshop and a Tom Lee storytelling workshop for Ichabod Crane High School; and Ruth Leonard's “Farms, Fields and Forest Murals- Plant Growth in Our Community and Their Uses” program with Catskill Elementary School was funded.
