Windham appoints new police chief

Michael Ryan is reporting in The Daily Mail Tor Tryland, a veteran member of the Greene County Sheriff's Office has been sworn in as Windham's new police chief. Tryland took the oath of office Thurs., July 31, following a special town council meeting. Tryland's appointment fills the gap created by the retirement of Stacy Post in January, following her election as town supervisor. Tryland is a native of Norway. Before moving to the U.S. he worked as a customs inspector. Tryland joined the Sheriff’s Office in the mid-1990s, and promoted to Investigator in the early 2000’s. Greene County Sheriff Greg Seeley said Tryland is "down to earth and as honest as Day One. He’ll do an outstanding job." Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
