Trump starts Twitter war with Gillibrand
Dec 12, 2017 3:30 pm
First, here is President Trump's tweet:
On Dec. 11, New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand led a few representatives in calling for President Donald Trump to resign over years of charges of sexual misconduct. (Click here to play a very short clip of Gillibrand.) On Dec. 12, Trump fired back on Twitter. “Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Charles E. Schumer and someone who would come to my office 'begging' for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump,” the president wrote on Twitter. “Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!” Gillibrand shot back, first on Twitter, writing, “You cannot silence me or the millions of women who have gotten off the sidelines to speak out about the unfitness and shame you have brought to the Oval Office.” Then she gave a press conference. Click here to play a brief clip from the press conference.
