Feb 15, 2013 6:41 am
Michael Ryan reports in The Daily Mail the town of Prattsville has been hit with a multi-million-dollar lawsuit by Dennis Hull, owner of Randy’s Repairs. The suit names Town Supervisor Kory O’Hara, Town Councilwoman Bonita Chase, onetime town employee Michael “Kipp” O’Hara and a former resident, John King. At issue: The removal of approximately 100 vehicles towed by Hull from the community following Tropical Storm Irene in Aug. 2011. The dispute centers around who authorized removal of the vehicles. Hull has leveled accusations of libel and defamation. He also alleged the actions of town officials caused him a loss of income. The subject was briefly raised early this week at a town board meeting when a resident inquired into the cost of the litigation. “The board has no comment,” O’Hara said.
