Hudson Valley One rounds up where all the July 4 holiday fireworks displays are in the Hudson Valley. The booms in the sky begin on July 1, when Catskill sets off fireworks with its Thursday waterfront concert series where the Lustre Kings are performing at Dutchman's Landing followed by fireworks at dusk. On July 2 Scribner Catskill Lodge in Hunter has fireworks at 9:30 p.m. plus outdoor games and bonfires and “Meet the Maker” events. On July 3 East Durham holds its 4th of July Parade & Fireworks. The parade is at 11 a.m. along Route 145, ending at the Michael J. Quill Irish Culture Center, and the fireworks are at dusk. Also on July 3, Christman’s Windham House has fireworks at dusk and the Village of Coxsackie’s fireworks display is at 8:30 p.m. at Coxsackie-Athens High School. On July 4 itself, there is Saugerties’ 4th of July Parade and Fireworks, with the parade at 1 p.m. and a fireworks display at dusk. There is also Independence Day at Clermont, which starts at noon with demonstrations of historic sewing, paper cutting, and proper soldiering in the British army, but no fireworks this year at the Clermont State Historical Site. Windham, Cairo, and Tannersville, however, have fireworks on July 4 at Windham Mountain Resort, Cairo's Angelo Canna Park, and the Colonial Country Club in Tannersville, after dark.
