The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a hazardous weather outlook for northwestern Connecticut, western Massachusetts, east central New York and southern Vermont, through 8 a.m., Friday. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect. Some of the thunderstorms may produce gusty winds up to 50 mph and very heavy rainfall overnight. Periods of heavy rain are possible Friday into Saturday. Any heavy rain that does not fall in combination with recent heavy rain will increase the threat for potentially more flooding, especially east of the Hudson River Valley.
