McCoy campaign spent a lot on tobacco

Lauren Stanforth reports for the Albany Times Union that Albany County Executive Dan McCoy's election campaign reported spending more than $5,700 at tobacco outlets between 2017 and 2018 on cigars. At around the same time, McCoy signed a law a banning the sale of tobacco in pharmacies. McCoy is a Democrat running unopposed for a third term. In 2018 McCoy's campaign only spent about $400 more on office supplies than tobacco products. Read more about this story in the Albany Times Union.
