Report: New York is top in taxes

Rick Karlin reports at Capitol Confidential individual New Yorkers pay more in taxes than residents of any other state. According to a report just released by the research group, Tax Foundation, while other Americans paid an average of 10 percent of their income to taxes, New Yorkers paid 13 percent in 2010. The data also indicated the tax burden for New Yorkers grew during the Recession, compared to the rest of the country.
