Local weather forecast
Today's forecast is specific to Catskill, in Greene County:
A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for northwestern Connecticut, western Massachusetts, east central New York and southern Vermont, including Columbia and Greene counties, through Tuesday evening. A weak stationary front will gradually drift northwest through eastern New York and western New England Tuesday as upper level energy supports waves of low pressure tracking along the front. The atmosphere along and south of the front is extremely moist. This will support the development of showers and scattered thunderstorms with locally heavy rain. Showers and scattered thunderstorms will increase in coverage once again today with rainfall heavy at times. Additional rainfall through Tuesday evening of one to two inches will be possible across the entire area with locally higher amounts.
Today: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy. High near 79. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 10 p.m.; a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 p.m. Cloudy. Low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
