Together we will work to make this great city even better.” The Democrats' original candidate, the committee's former chairman and current vice chairman Victor Mendolia, withdrew from the race in August. However, his name will still appear on both the Democrat and Working Family lines of the ballot. DePietro's remaining opponent, Claudia DeStefano, has the Republican, Conservative  Independence lines. Incumbent Common Council President Don Moore is not seeking re-election.
