MidHudson News is reporting Jamie Cheney, a candidate for State Senate in the newly created District 43, has been endorsed unanimously by the Democratic committees in Columbia, Dutchess and Rensselaer counties. Cheney will challenge Republican incumbent Sue Serino. Cheney and her husband run Falcon’s Fields, a 70-head Wagyu and Angus beef farm in Dutchess County. Cheney also founded a recruiting firm focused on creating flexible roles for working parents. Cheney serves on the Leadership Council of the National Small Business Association and is active in developing youth agriculture in New York State.
