Most schools are closed Tuesday because of the snow

Gov. Kathy Hochul warned New Yorkers to be safe during a very intense storm that is expected to dump one to three feet of snow locally from now through March 15. Hochul said on March 13 that, "This will be a dangerous storm. Please stay off the roads for your own safety. Stay in your homes, also for the safety of these incredible men and women throughout Upstate New York who will be giving up their time, working around the clock to make sure that the roads are plowed." Columbia-Greene Community College
Emma L. Miller Memorial School
Ichabod Crane
East Greenbush
Grapeville Christian School
Hawthorne Valley School
Hudson (Board of Education Meeting postponed to March 16.)
New Lebanon
Pine Plains
Pittsfield Public Schools
RPI College
Taconic Hills

Also, Greene County Transit is closed, There is no transportation, no public buses running in Greene County. COARC Adult Transportation in Columbia County buses are not running. Dutchess County has issued a state of emergency. The state's state of emergency means no Daily Mail or Register-Star newspapers will be delivered, and the HudsonValley360.com website will be free.
