Cairo police chief accused of evidence, witness tampering

Jim Planck reports in The Daily Mail Cairo Police Chief Christopher Sprague has been arrested and accused of evidence tampering. The New York State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Catskill announced Thurs., Mar. 21, Sprague was charged with felony counts of tampering with public records and tampering with physical evidence. He was also charged with misdemeanor witness tampering. The charges are the result of Sprague’s alleged improper handling of evidence and falsely reporting information to the State Police. Sprague was arraigned in the Town of Durham Justice Court before Town Justice Raymond Kennedy, and was released on his own recognizance. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
