COVID-19 case numbers increase locally

Patricia R. Doxsey reports in the Daily Freeman that COVID-19 cases increased "dramatically" in Ulster and Dutchess counties over the weekend. Rensselaer and Ulster counties also reported new deaths from COVID-19. The Ulster County death was the second this week. On July 26, Ulster County reported 31 new cases of COVID-19, for 97 total, up from the 66 reported on July 23. Dutchess County announced 38 new cases on July 26, for 166 total. Rensselaer County added 28 new cases as of July 26. Greene County reported seven new cases July 26, Albany County announced 19 new positive cases July 26, and Columbia County reported ten new cases.
