Spectrum News reports that the new Albany arena football league team now has a name -- the Albany Empire. The Empire name, announced Jan. 23, beat out the names Phoenix, Fire, and Machine. Tryouts for the team are Jan. 27 in Albany. The league, started in 1987, is down to just four teams now, and plays in the spring.
