Chess to remain on Claverack Planning Board

Adam Clayton is reporting in the Register Star the Claverack Town Board voted Thurs., Dec. 12, against the proposed removal of Nathan Chess from the town's Planning Board. Town Supervisor Robin Andrews, Deputy Supervisor Robert Preusser and Councilwoman Katy Cashen voted against the resolution. Councilman Clifford Weigelt, who will be sworn in as town supervisor next month, voted for the resolution. Councilman Michael Johnston was absent from the meeting. Following the vote Andrews read a lengthy prepared statement and declared this to be one of the hardest decisions she has had to make in her four years as supervisor.
