The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the region from 7 a.m., Wednesday through 4 a.m., Thursday. Accumulations of snow and ice are expected. The wintry precipitation will result in difficult travel conditions, including during the evening commute. Snowfall rates of up to an inch per hour are expected during the late morning before snow mixes with sleet and freezing rain and in the afternoon and evening.
