U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders have called for a Day of Action Sun., Jan. 15, to oppose cuts to healthcare and Medicare. Pending legislation would strip 30 million Americans of health insurance, Medicare would no longer be guaranteed, Medicaid slashed and prescription prices increased. At this event, Columbia County will stand against this policy decision and speak out for the welfare of the all members of the community.
