Moderator Katy Sparks will lead a panel of diverse non-profit experts in the fields of farming and food production, food access, housing, local business support, and environmental advocacy in a discussion about how to make life in the Berkshires sustainable for everyone. What are we doing now? What can we do better? What do we need more of? What do we need less of?
Speakers Brittany Ebeling (Berkshire Environmental Action Team), Jim Harwood (Community Development Corporation of the Southern Berkshires), Dennis Iodice (BerkShares), and Margaret Moulton (Berkshire Grown) will share their work and thoughts.

Titled Useful Contaminants, this show features two newly commissioned works by Erik DeLuca and Robbie Wing. Developed through ongoing dialogue between the artists, the work explores expanded forms of listening. Wing’s Dirt Speaker Box is a living system that amplifies vibrational frequencies in dirt collected from the Mahicannituck River Valley. In response, DeLuca composed For Robbie Wing (וארנה הנאו בת אדולף), a text and series of object-based scores that engage questions of land, law, and memory. Together, the works examine how power shapes how we listen, interpret, and respond to sound. A collaborative performance with both artists will take place on May 9th at 1pm.
