On Saturday, November 12, 24 Occupy Albany participants were arrested for "trespassing" after crossing from city land (Academy Park, where the occupation has been located since October) into the adjacent, state-owned Lafayette Park. Over thirty people have been arrested since, as Occupy Albany participants - claiming a constitutional right to remain in the park - continue to test Governer Andrew Cuomo's vow to enforce an 11 p.m. curfew.
