The Cairo Town Board meeting continued their work towards implementing a Zoning Law for the town yesterday during a Zoning Review Workshop at the Cairo Public Library. Dozens of residents were in attendance, many of whom had submitted "feedback forms" expressing concerns about the current Zoning Law Draft's impact on their own properties. Members of the Town Board met with several of the residents yesterday discussing their concerns in detail and working together to find a feasible solution to address both the individual's concerns as well as the vision for the Town. Cairo Town Supervisor, Ted Banta, and Town Attorney Tal Rappleyea alluding to a cut-off being set soon with regards to accepting new feedback form submissions; however, they did not announce a specific date. Feedback forms, as well as previous Zoning Law drafts and maps are available on the Town's website at http://www.townofcairo.com/Pages/Zoning.
