Radio Multe 93.8FM: Gaologie Special

May 21, 2022: 4am - 6am

Gåologie, created by Alwynne Pritchard and Eva Pfitzenmaier, join with Radio Multe and LakriFM for this special broadcast from a former tram ticket kiosk in the Laksevåg neighborhood of Bergen. Waffles abound and locals linger and share stories on air about walking, wandering, Bergen and surroundings about how humans live in and adapt to cities/ suburbs/ ruins.

Since the summer of 2020 Pritchard and Pfitzenmaier have each gone their separate ways - in Bergen municipality. On the trips, they have collected objects and sounds, and written letters to each other about their experiences. In Gåologi, the threads are gathered - in the living rooms of people's homes, in public places and landscapes, around Bergen municipality. Gåologi comes in several versions and events, a diverse history of walks, discoveries and reinterpretations. Through poetry and music, fictional urban landscapes, sound recordings and films, notions are drawn up about what it means to walk through a Norwegian city and its surroundings in the age of the car. Gåologi is also an invitation to ask questions about how we make our cities - and what it means to us when we return home.
