"Amateur Radio Newsline" correspondent Skeeter Nash reports that host Bill Pasternak is in hospital, stable in the ICU. The weekly news survey of amateur radio is suspended while Pasternak recovers. This is the second recent trip to the hospital for Pasternak, and last time the show staff covered for his absence. This time, though, the staff cannot cover the show alone and is appealing for new volunteers to come forward to produced the weekly ham radio show. The all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit service is based in Santa Clarita, California USA, and was founded in 1977 by Pasternak, WA6ITF. Pasternak has created a "Young Ham of the Year Award" sponsored by Yaesu USA, CQ Publishing, and Heil Sound Ltd. Email newsline@arnewsline.org for more information about the show.
