Huge media companies increasingly control radio stations across the US. Take back the airwaves by building a low-power FM transmitter with artist, programmer, and Assistant Professor and Program Director of Visual Art & Technology at Stevens Institute of Technology, Jeff Thompson. In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of FM radio technology and Part 15 compliance; then you’ll solder a portable, battery-powered transmitter capable of broadcasting music, interviews, and more. No experience necessary.

This workshop is part of two days of culminating events celebrating the 2018/2019 academic year-long "Wave Farm (in residence) at Tufts University Art Galleries".
