Amanda Purcell ofColumbia-Greene Media reports that there will be a little bit of the Pride Parade in the Flag Day parade in Hudson this year, and vice versa. Representatives from the the city’s two largest parades will be represented in each other’s parades this year for the first time. The Flag Day parade is at 2 p.m. June 9, and the Pride Parade is June 16. “In the spirit of unity, OutHudson’s Pride marchers will have contingent in the Flag Day Parade, and the Flag Day Committee will march in the Pride parade,” a June 6 statement from OutHudson read. “This is a time for unity — a time that the city of Hudson comes together,” OutHudson Chairman Rich Volo said in a statement. “I’m happy to march in the Flag Day Parade this year with the OutHudson banner.” Read the full story at HudsonValley360.com.
