The Greene County Industrial Development Agency Board declared Jan. 19 the Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement complete for the development project in Catskill near Exit 21 of the I-87 Thruway and set a public hearing on the proposal. The IDA wants to create a shovel-ready development site on 64 acres, taking advantage of the two largest roads in Greene County, and new sewer service, added through a current project in Jefferson Heights. The public can find full details of the proposal at the IDA offices in Coxsackie, or at Catskill Town Hall and the Catskill Public Library and online at: www.greeneida.com/sites-projects/10-projects/22-cat21-project. A public hearing about the proposal will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Catskill Town Hall. Written public comments are accepted through Feb. 19 sent to the IDA at 270 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, NY 12051.
