Tannersville farmers market debuts this weekend

Greg Hudson reports in The Daily Mail that Tannersville’s first farmers market debuts Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the large municipal lot behind Last Chance Antiques and Cheese Cafe. There will be produce, flowers, crafts, goat milk, baked goods, and other farm products, according to Anne Jakubowski, executive director of the Hunter Foundation. The Foundation is also putting on the Memorial Day weekend events throughout town, such as the rubber duck races, and a carnival at Rip Van Winkle Lake.The carnival will be opens May 27 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., is open May 28-29 from noon to 11 p.m., and on Memorial Day from noon to 3 p.m. The duck race begins on Main Street at 11 a.m. on May 28, with a crazy boat race at 2 p.m. The town's Memorial Day parade is at noon Sunday on Main Street.
